Some liquids will mix with water, while others refuse to! We'll learn about what it means to be hydrophobic and hydrophilic as we clean our own mini oil spills and take home some polymer sand.

CLOCKS:
Tick tock.. people have kept track of time in tons of different ways throughout time, from sundials to water
clocks. We'll make our own of each to take home after we experiment with them.

ERUPTION:
The earth is hot - really hot! When rocks reach over 1000 degrees they melt into magma. We make our own chemical eruptions and take home volcanic rock.

LIGHTNING STRIKES:
CRACKK.. here it comes! We learn about electrons, electricity, and the types of static and current electricity as we make our own flashlights to take home with us.

MAGNET MANIA:
The earth itself is a HUGE magnet. We'll learn about the earth's magnetic field and how we can use

SNOW DAY : It's not a day off, but its almost as much fun! We'll learn about polymers, cold, and ice as we make our own
fake snow to take home after experimenting with a super absorbing polymer in class.

TRAPPED IN TAR PITS:
Tar pits can be scary, but they can tell us unbelievable things about past animals and our geology. We'll make our own tar pits with cornstarch and see how things can be preserved in different materials.

WEIRD WORMS:
Yuck - worms! They're not real thankfully, but we'll learn about how animals can help us on earth, and we'll make our own polymer worms to take home in our Egghead Minilabs.

WHAT'S IN THE RAIN:
Acid rain can be devastating to plants, animals, water, and humans. We discover how acids and bases react with each other, the mysteries behind pH, and get our own test strips to take home and test liquids ourselves.
