Egghead Secret Agents

Your mission? Become the world’s greatest secret agent! Once the challenge is accepted, Egghead Agents will write with invisible inks by making chemical reactions, make spy tools like periscopes and spy glasses to take home as they learn about mirrors, and crack secret codes with the science of cryptography on their way to becoming super spies. At the end of the session, students will receive a Egghead Secret Agent Degree.

ABSORB AWAY:
One of the most exciting things about being a secret agent is sending secret messages! In this lesson
students will learn how inks are absorbed using chromatography.

CAMOUFLAGE:
How can a secret agent hide in plain sight? Camouflage! Students will learn how filtering colors can
camouflage something and then make their own slime filters.

CHEMICAL CONCOCTIONS:
Your mission? Hidden chemicals! In this lesson students learn how acids and bases can react to create
chemical mixtures that seem to disappear!

FLIGHT MISSION:
Are you ready to take flight? Students learn all about flight in this lesson and even make their own
anemometers!

LAUNCH SEQUENCE:
Working in outer space is pretty hard and can even get dangerous! Students will explore the difficulties that
come with working in a space suit then make their own water filtration system.

LIGHT IT UP:
Keep it moving! In this lesson students will learn all about motion and force, then use that knowledge to
make their own launchers.

MIRROR MAGIC:
Who knew mirrors could be magic? Students will find out just how tricky mirrors can be in this lesson that's
all about bending light!

SECRET INKS:
Our mission? Solve all the secret messages before we run out of time! In this lesson students will learn how
to use five different kinds of secret inks before making their own secret messages.

SUBMARINES:
How do secret agents travel under water? Submarines! In this lesson students will learn all about buoyancy
and surface tension then make their own Cartesian divers.

VANISHED:
Professor Egghead found a floating glove in his office! Your mission is to figure out how it happened.
Students will use chemical reactions to create their own floating hands.

Egghead Astronauts

Blast off this session with the Egghead Astronaut Crew as we explore the far reaches of our universe. Students will set off rockets, make huge chemical reactions, make lava slime, look for life and rocks on other planets, recycle water in space, and make out of this world volcanoes on their way to becoming astronauts! The best part? They get to take home their experiment every week! At the end of the session, students will receive their own Egghead Astronaut Degree.

MOONBOUND:
There's a big satellite in the sky that we see every night. Do you know what it is? The moon! Students
explore the phases of the moon and make an Earth/Moon model in this lesson.

SEARCH FOR LIFE:
Is there life out there in the universe? If so, what would it need and what would it look like? Students learn
what it would take to survive on an alien planet and make their own greenhouses to grow food.

GREAT GRAVITY PROBLEM:
Gravity affects everyone and everything on earth. Students learn how this mysterious force works, and
investigate why some things actually bounce back up after gravity pulls them to Earth.

MARS ROCKS:
Geology that's out of this world! Students will learn how wind, weather, and rain can cause erosion and help
shape the surface of planets like Earth and Mars.

SPACEWALK:
Working in outer space is pretty hard and can even get dangerous! Students will explore the difficulties that
come with working in a space suit then make their own water filtration system.

VOLCANIC WORLDS:
Did you know one of Jupiter's 64 moons is covered in Volcanoes? In this lesson, students will learn all about
volcanoes before making their own lava slime!

TAKEOFF:
T-10 seconds to takeoff! Students learn how rockets use a chemical reaction to blast off before making their
own rockets to take home.

AMAZING AIR:
Air is absolutely everywhere. In this lesson, students explore air, wind, and drag, and make their own
parachutes to take home.

REACTION ROCKETS:
If we want to explore space, we have to be able to get there first! Students learn all about rockets then
make their own rocket balloon cars.

STELLAR:
You may know stars are made up of hot gases, but did you know they also have layers? Students explore the
layers of a star then make their own constellation tubes.

Egghead Superheroes

Calling all Eggheads to the lab with the SCIENCE SYMBOL! Eggheads become science superheroes this session as they bend their vision, learn about super smelling, crazy illusions, ultrasonic hearing and tons more! Each week, Eggheads will learn the science behind super strength and all the other things our superheroes need, and take home their experiment to help them be super themselves! At the end of the session, every Egghead will become an official Science Superhero with a Degree to prove it!

Egghead Explorers

Strap on your gear, grab your binoculars, and join the Egghead Explorer Squad as we fizz, pop, mix, and experiment our way around the Earth! As Egghead Explorers, students will make a sundial to keep track of the time, a flashlight to see in the dark, fake tar pits, fossils, volcanoes, snow, magnetic cars, and tons more. The best part? They get to take it all home! All Eggheads will also get their Explorer ID card and an Egghead Explorer Degree authorizing them to use real science to explore the globe!

ANCIENT INVESTIGATIONS:
Eggheads learn about earth's history by making their own fossils and learning about viscosity!

CLEANING THE SPILL:
Some liquids will mix with water, while others refuse to! We'll learn about what it means to be hydrophobic and hydrophilic as we clean our own mini oil spills and take home some polymer sand.

CLOCKS:
Tick tock.. people have kept track of time in tons of different ways throughout time, from sundials to water
clocks. We'll make our own of each to take home after we experiment with them.

ERUPTION:
The earth is hot - really hot! When rocks reach over 1000 degrees they melt into magma. We make our own chemical eruptions and take home volcanic rock.

LIGHTNING STRIKES:
CRACKK.. here it comes! We learn about electrons, electricity, and the types of static and current electricity as we make our own flashlights to take home with us.

MAGNET MANIA:
The earth itself is a HUGE magnet. We'll learn about the earth's magnetic field and how we can use

SNOW DAY : It's not a day off, but its almost as much fun! We'll learn about polymers, cold, and ice as we make our own
fake snow to take home after experimenting with a super absorbing polymer in class.

TRAPPED IN TAR PITS:
Tar pits can be scary, but they can tell us unbelievable things about past animals and our geology. We'll make our own tar pits with cornstarch and see how things can be preserved in different materials.

WEIRD WORMS:
Yuck - worms! They're not real thankfully, but we'll learn about how animals can help us on earth, and we'll make our own polymer worms to take home in our Egghead Minilabs.

WHAT'S IN THE RAIN:
Acid rain can be devastating to plants, animals, water, and humans. We discover how acids and bases react with each other, the mysteries behind pH, and get our own test strips to take home and test liquids ourselves.

Egghead Detectives

COLOR MIXUP:
The Mystery of the Color Mixup is going to need the best Egghead Detectives to solve it. Students crack the
case by learning about color, light, and illusions.

COOKIE CAPER:
Can you solve the case of the stolen cookies? Students will text different particles found on the scene to
figure out who stole Chef Luigi's cookies.

MISSING MASCOT:
We need some detectives who specialize in cryptography for this case! Students will all about decoding
secret messages in this lesson.clocks. We'll make our own of each to take home after we experiment with them.

MYSTERY CUP:
This case involves a disappearing act! But can you find the truth behind the disappearing water? Students
will learn all about atoms and polymers in this lesson.

RANSOM NOTE:
Whoever stole Professor Egghead's top secret notebook left behind a ransom note! Students will use the
science of chromatography to figure out who wrote the note.

SLIME TIME:
We'll need to learn all about polymers to solve this case! Students will get to experiment with different
kinds of polymers before making their own slime in this lesson.

SNOW DAY:
One of the biggest pieces of evidence a detective can find is a fingerprint, and in this lesson, students will
learn all about how to dust for prints and match them to a suspect!

STRANGE SAND:
Can you figure out how this mystery sand can stay dry under water? In this lesson, students will learn all
about polar and non-polar molecules and get to experiment with their own hydrophobic sand!

TELLTALE TROPHY:
Someone stole a trophy from the Professor Egghead trophy case, but they left behind a drop of blood!
Students will learn all about acids, bases, and pH levels while testing different evidence samples.

UNPOPPABLE BALLOON:
Can you solve the mystery of the unpoppable balloon? Students will learn all about air pressure in this
lesson before making their own rocket balloon cars

Egghead Inventors

his session, students become real-life inventors on Professors Egghead’s team as they experiment with awesome inventions like helicopters, hovercraft, rockets, and catapults and learn the science behind what makes them work! Then they’ll create their very own inventions to take home at the end of each class. All Eggheads will get their Inventors ID card and at the end of the session, students will receive their degree proving they’re ready to go out and invent something amazing on their own!

CATAPULTS:
Force isn't just when your parents make you do something you don't want to. Students will learn all about
force and tension to build their own catapults!

COMPASSES:
Did you know the Earth is one big magnet? Students explore how magnetic force gives us the four Cardinal
Directions, and they'll even get a compass to bring home!

HELICOPTERS:
How are helicopters able to fly vertically? It's all in the lift! Students will use lift, drag, and torque to create
their own helicopters and airplanes.

HOVERCRAFT:
Think hovercrafT are just a thing of the future? Think again. In this lesson, students learn how to use force
to make their own hovercraft.

ROCKETS:
Steer clear of the blast zone! Students will use chemical reactions to create enough air pressure to blast off
their own rockets!

ROVERS:
Ever wondered how NASA gets those awesome photos of Mars? In this lesson, students create their own
rovers to explore their favorite planets.

SPEAKERS:
What is a vibration? You may know what it looks like, but do you know what it sounds like? Students will
learn how to use vibrations to create their own speakers.

SOAP:
Did you know some chemicals are afraid of water? Students will learn the difference between hydrophilic
and hydrophobic substances and then make their own bath bombs!

SUNDIALS:
The sun keeps us warm and gives us light and life on Earth. Did you know it can also help us tell time? In this
lesson, students learn how to use UV light to create their own sundials.

THERMOMETERS:
You've probably used one when you're sick to measure your body's temperature, but what about
measuring a chemical reaction's temperature? Students learn the difference between chemical and
physical changes then make their own thermometer to take home.

Amusement Park Engineering

Using LEGO™, we'll build huge spinning Merry-Go-Rounds, Mega Ferris Wheels, Speeding Roller Coasters, and everything in between as we create giant Amusement Parks! Then, we'll test our creations like a real theme park engineering would! Professor Egghead Science Academy offers the coolest science and engineering programs for girls and boys in grades K - 3rd. At the end of the session, students will receive an Egghead Engineering Structures Degree. Science has never been this cool! ™

Engineering Mega Machines

Think you've got what it takes to be an Egghead Machine Engineer?! Using LEGO™, students will design and build real mega machines like spinning windmills, lifting cranes, elevators, cars, and way more. We'll use wheels, bands, gears, pulleys, and tons of other cool specialty Lego pieces to build our Machines, and then after the building phase is complete we’ll put them to the test. That means we'll try to break 'em, blow them over, and put weight on them. If you pass the test, you pass the challenge!

INVENTIONS:
Where would we be without engineers? For our first lesson, students will get an introduction to becoming
engineers by building their own machine inventions.

HOUSES:
No one wants to live in a house that will blow over! In this lesson, students will learn how to build lego
structures that are foundationally study.

SOARING SKYSCRAPERS:
Can you build a building tall enough to touch the sky? Students will build their own skyscrapers then put
them up to a wind test to make sure they're balanced.

ELEVATORS:
Did you know elevators were originally invented to carry only cargo? In this lesson, students will build
their own working elevators!

CRAZY CARS:
We all know what a car is, but do you know how their built? In this lesson, students will build their own
moving cars and test how far they can go!

DEMO DERBY:
What's the most fun part of building a car? Crashing it! Students will build a car and then crash test it in
our own Egghead Demolition Derby.

SUPER SHUTTLES:
No other machine has quite the same WOW factor as a space shuttle! Learn how to build your own shuttle
and rocket boosters in this lesson.

WINDING WINDMILLS:
See what we can do with the power of wind! In this lesson, students will build their own moving windmills
and put them up to a challenge.

COLOSSAL CRANES:
Without cranes, how would we be able to build tall structures like skyscrapers? Students build their own
cranes in this lesson then test them to see if they can lift a payload!

FINAL CHALLENGE:
Are you ready for the true test of a Mega Machines Engineer? In this lesson, we put everything we've
learned together into one Final Challenge. What do you get if you pass? An official Professor Egghead
degree!

Ancient Wonders Engineering

Strap in, because this session the Egghead Engineering team is hopping in the time machine and going back in ancient history to build huge engineering marvels! Using LEGOs, students will build awesome ancient creations like aqueducts, huge dams, wells, and giant coliseums. Then, we'll test them with the crush test, the weight test, and all of our other tests to make sure they can stand up to the challenge! All Eggheads will get their Ancient Engineer ID card, authorizing them to design and build any ancient wonder they can think of. At the end of the session, they’ll also get their official Ancient Engineer Degree - proving they’re ready to build the toughest challenges!

INVENTIONS:
Where would we be without engineers? For our first lesson, students will get an introduction to becoming
engineers by building their own ancient creation inventions.

CREEPY CASTLES:
Have fun storming the castle! In this lesson, students will learn how to build sturdy castles that can
withstand the weight of us standing on them.

PUZZLING PYRAMIDS
How did the Ancient Egyptians build those giant pyramids? Students will learn how to build their own
pyramids and then fill them with a special treasure!

TALL TOWERS:
How tall is too tall? Students will learn how to build the tallest towers they can while keeping them
balanced so they don't topple over.

WATER WELLS:
If you dig deep enough into the ground, you'll hit water! Students will build they're own wells and then
put them up to a bucket challenge to see how they actually work.

AQUEDUCTS:
How did ancient Romans supply the city with a steady source of water? They invented an aqueduct! In
this lesson we build our own aqueducts and then test if things are able to flow through them.

DAMS:
In ancient times, dams were built out of stone, but in this lesson we'll use legos! The challenge? It'll have
to pass the barrier test.

CATAPULTS:
How do you hurl heavy objects through the air if you're not superhero? With catapults! In this lesson,
student will build their own working catapults with legos.

TREEHOUSES:
Treehouses can be more than just cool hideouts. They also provide shelter! Students build their own lego
treehouses in this lesson.

FINAL CHALLENGE:
Are you ready for the true test of a Ancient Engineer? In this lesson, we put everything we've
learned together into one Final Challenge. What do you get if you pass? An official Professor Egghead
degree!

 

Engineering Super Structures

Come join the Egghead Engineering Team this session as we design and build huge structures! Using LEGO™ students will build mega bridges that can withstand over 4 lbs. of weight, 4 foot tall skyscrapers, awesome lighthouses, and tons more. Then, we’ll try to knock em down, crush them, and put them to the test! At the end of the session, students will receive an Egghead Engineering Super Structures Degree proving they’re ready to build anything they can dream up!

INVENTIONS:
Where would we be without engineers? For our first lesson, students will get an introduction to becoming
engineers by building their own structural inventions.

ACADEMIES:
Ever wondered what Professor Egghead's Science Academy looks like? In this lesson, students learn how
to build a sturdy foundation by building an academy.

SUPER STADIUMS:
Did you know Wembley Stadium can fit 90,000 people? That's a lot of soccer fans! Students will learn how
to build a stadium that can pass the volume test.

SOARING SKYSCRAPERS:
Can you build a building tall enough to touch the sky? In this lesson, students build their own skyscrapers
then put them up to the wind test to make sure they're balanced.

BUSTING BRIDGES:
Did you know there are over half a million bridges in the US? Students will build three different bridges in
this lesson!

BIG BRIDGES:
The Pearl Bridge in Japan is the longest suspension bridge in the world! In this lesson, students will build
giant bridges.

ELEVATORS:
Did you know elevators were originally invented to carry only cargo? In this lesson, students will build
their own working elevators!

LIGHTHOUSES:
Steering ships safely home is an important job, and in order to do it, lighthouses must be visible. Students
will build their lighthouses with a pattern to make sure ships can see them!

TUNNELS:
How do you drive through a mountain? With a tunnel, of course! In this lesson, students will build their
own tunnels and then connect them all to make one a huge tunnel!

FINAL CHALLENGE:
Are you ready for the true test of a Super Structures Engineer? In this lesson, we put everything we've
learned together into one Final Challenge. What do you get if you pass? An official Professor Egghead
degree!
